Created to celebrate Shot’s legacy, the Kapene (meaning Captain) represents leadership and direction. Designed in collaboration with master carver Whare Thompson, the barrel features a detailed Ta Moko-style sleeve that runs the length of the dart, symbolising tradition, identity, and power.

The straight, centre-weighted barrel offers a balanced and controlled throw, while the grip runs seamlessly from nose to tail. A wide shark grip provides consistent traction, complemented by a front scallop for reference and a deeper rear scallop for a strong, confident push.

Finished with a superfine cinder grip coating and subtle titanium detailing, the Kapene delivers a refined feel with reliable control for players of all styles.
